  • A well-educated workforce, not tax cuts, is key to worker and state prosperity: new report

According to a report released by EARN (Economic Analysis and Research Network), “The best way to strong wages and a strong workforce is through education, not by cutting taxes to capture private investment from other states in what amounts to a race-to-the-bottom economic development strategy.”  Cutting taxes as a short-term means of trying stimulating the economy is “short-sighted;” and educated workforce is the better path to long-term economic prosperity.
