Resilience The Film: Screening Followed by Twitter Town Hall @ Public Schools First NC | Raleigh | NC | United States

As part of RESILIENCE WEEK NC, UNC-TV will offer an exclusive public television broadcast of the award-winning film RESILIENCE. This documentary chronicles the impact of toxic stress on children’s well-being and explores strategies used by educators, therapists, pediatricians, & communities to disrupt cycles of violence & trauma.

Viewers of the film and the general public are invited to join us after the broadcast on Tuesday, November 19th, from 9pm–10pm EDT, for an interactive Twitter Town Hall featuring experts in Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), early childhood trauma, juvenile justice and trauma-informed care. Yevonne Brannon PhD and Terrance Ruth PhD – both with Public Schools First NC – will be participating on the expert panel.

Sen. Phil Berger said the budget will “put student outcomes and parental choice ahead of bureaucracy.” But it DOESN'T. No meaningful student outcome checks exist, & private schools accept who they want. It is a disaster. #nced
