Unpacking the 2022 NC State Education Budget

Learn what’s in the 2022 NC Education Budget.

Join us for an in-depth discussion of the NC budget with Alexandra Sirota, Executive Director of the NC Budget and Tax Center. In the recent short session, the NC General Assembly made several adjustments to the previous budget and Alexandra Sirota will walk through the changes that affect education in NC. Where was funding increased, what are the implications of the changes, and where do we still need more effort? There will be time provided for discussion, so bring your budget and tax questions!

Alexandra serves as Executive Director for the Budget & Tax Center. She leads the organization’s work to ensure every person can reach their full potential and achieve well-being through the support of trustworthy, anti-racist institutions and systems that we all participate in building.
