Archived Blog Posts

Public Schools First NC published regular blog posts from North Carolina educators, scholars, parents, and students between 2014-2017 and periodically through 2021 (with staff continuing to write regularly for our newsletter, website, and social media accounts). During that time period, Public Schools First NC merged with Red4EdNC and produced Teachers Forum blog posts together.

The archived blog posts from this period have been organized in the spreadsheet below. Click on the tabs at the bottom to choose how you would like to browse the posts — sorted by date, category, author, affiliation, or post title.

In October 2020, Red4EdNC officially archived its social media accounts and website, giving permission to Public Schools First NC to use the name and associated resources going forward. In September 2022, the blog was relaunched and redesigned as the Public Schools First NC #Red4EdNC blog.

Sen. Phil Berger said the budget will “put student outcomes and parental choice ahead of bureaucracy.” But it DOESN'T. No meaningful student outcome checks exist, & private schools accept who they want. It is a disaster. #nced
