Join us for this award-winning, 60-minute film, Resilience: The Biology of Stress & The Science of Hope! This powerful movie is a conversation-starter and a perspective-changer. (See more about film here: http://kpjrfilms.co/resilience/) Spanish subtitles are available.

The screening is co-hosted by the WCPSS Office of Equity Affairs & Office of Counseling & Student Services, the Wake NCAE, the Wake PTA Council, and Public Schools First NC.

This limited release documentary examines how abuse, neglect and other adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) affect children’s development & health outcomes in adulthood. Research shows ACEs are common, they affect all income levels, and their impact on health and well-being is significant. “The child may not remember, but the body remembers.”

There will be short commentary and discussion following the film and time allowed for audience participation. THIS FILM IS INTENDED FOR ADULT AUDIENCES.

Registration is required: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/resilience-film-screening-tickets-372496165057

The Judicial Standards Commission, which handles disciplinary actions against judges will have more members appointed by the legislature. Plenty of court cases affect education! #nced
